The Messiah Oratorio
Script Written | Director Attached
In a time of scandalous debauchery and royal cousins warring over God’s will for Great Britain's throne, librettist Charles Jennens and composer George Frederick Handel create the immortal musical masterpiece, “Messiah!”. Not even murky motives and political mire could squelch the magnificent uprising of history’s most inspired music, capped by the swelling Hallelujah chorus that rings throughout the ages to this day in concert halls, churches and cathedrals the world over. In lieu of payment from the Messiah’s success. Proceeds from Messiah! oratorios (concerts) were used to aid the poor and free hundreds from Irish debtors prisons while also building English orphanages.
