Severe Cerebral Palsy and Spastic Athetoid Quadriplegia confines Jeff to a wheelchair with minimal hand, arm and leg movement, and barely audible speech. Yet he overcomes alcoholism, abusive caregivers, and criminal bullies to become a college graduate, chaplain, thriving member of the community and first quadriplegic to earn a blackbelt in Kenpo Karate. Jeff even goes on to win an international championship in the normal division, as no special division exists. Hundreds attend his memorial service.
